Laura is a huge fan of Marisa’s, having read Cancer Vixen when it first came out and being among the throngs of people who found the graphic memoir moving and funny and incredibly informative (full disclosure: Laura and Marisa share the same website designer [Jefferson Rabb] and book editor [Robin Desser at Knopf, who was a colleague of Laura’s when she worked there lo so many years ago and who ended up being the editor of Her, Laura’s third novel, back in 2002]). Marisa’s posts here on www.mybreastcancernetwork.com promise continued brilliance and out-spokenness and a commitment to advocacy, not to mention humor and wit and unparalleled style.
